Every day we are buying shit that destroys our home. Because we don’t see how all that crap gets into a store, we don’t give it much thought, if any. We don’t see the forests being cut down, minerals mined out of the earth, leaving scars that will take eons to heal, child labor so we can get it cheaper.

You have a home. Maybe you own a house or a condominium. Maybe you rent a house or an apartment. But you can change your home if you wish to. You can sell and buy another. You can give 30 days notice and find another apartment. You can move to another city or another country. So you have access to lots of homes.

But the home I’m talking about is our precious Earth. We cannot move to another Earth. This is it, the only one we’ve got. And we are trashing it at a frightening speed.

If you would like to be inspired to make some changes in your life, to begin to care about your home, to help turn things around, read this article: The Gift Of Death by George Monbiot. It was published in 2012, but it is just as important today.

If you really want to make a big shift in how you relate to the Earth, I just watched a video that a friend sent me. It offers a very sweet and loving way to see the Earth in a new way. I think you’ll like it.

Wisdom requires not only the investigation of many things, but contemplation of the mystery.

More than anything else I’ve found, The Zeitgeist Movement Defined, Realizing a New Train of Thought, gives me more hope that a beautiful future is possible for all. Not right away, though. We all need to shift our thinking, open our hearts, and awaken to a new way of seeing the world. If you truly want to heal the planet and build a better future, download this book for free. I am on my second reading, have watched all three Zeitgeist Documentaries, posted here on EE, along with some of Peter Joseph’s interviews. Consider joining or starting a Zeitgeist Chapter where you live.

Check out Peter’s new book, The New Human Rights Movement, available at Amazon.com. I bought the hard copy so I can highlight the sections to which I want to refer back.
